Citigroup allocates $200 million for small-business lending

Citigroup plans to establish a $200 million fund for small-business lending. The focus will be on low- and moderate-income communities, with loans ranging from less than $14,000 to $500,000. Restaurants, bakeries, services for delivery or translation, and air-conditioner repairers would be typical borrowers, said Bob Annibale, Citi's global director of microfinance and community development.
