Citysearch looks to the wider Web for traction

Local listings site Citysearch is taking a network approach to beat back competition from socially driven local sites such as Yelp, Groupon and Foursquare. Citysearch network CityGrid leverages the IAC/InterActiveCorp-owned sites local sales force to serve ads and content on partner sites, including MapQuest and Local.com. In a new partnership, Citysearch will distribute sponsored listings from directory YP.com to the 150 publishers in its network.
