Early dwellers carved a life for themselves in Cappadocia

In Turkey's Cappadocia region, early inhabitants carved their homes, churches, mosques and other gathering places out of the rocks. Now, people can visit the former dwellings, some of which have been transformed into an open-air museum. The area also features Kaymakli, an ancient underground city that has been adapted to help modern visitors.
