Schumer asks CSX and N.Y. DOT to negotiate high-speed agreement

Sen. Charles Schumer, D-N.Y., is prodding the New York State Department of Transportation and CSX to reach a deal on the speed of passenger trains over freight rail tracks. With $151 million in seed money for high-speed passenger service on the line, Schumer is hoping to jump-start talks -- and an agreement -- that would permit the state to move ahead.
