Retailers, florists and service companies are adding a social-media component to their Mother's Day marketing efforts this year, USA TODAY reports. Companies from Teleflora to E-Trade are tying promotions into the holiday. "Social marketers who keep it real will do best," said social-media guru Allen Mireles. "Social networking is fabulous, but for communication on Mother's Day, nothing replaces a phone call -- or showing up in person."
