Media companies are launching dozens of original shows online in the hope of winning attention from users and advertisers. The roster of original shows, which includes 11 from Yahoo, 14 from AOL and 30 from Conde Nast, is a sign that the "premium video" niche is growing in importance, AOL chief Tim Armstrong said. "Consumers are adopting video very quickly. ... So I think this industry is about to explode," he said.
