Analysis: Women are viewed as effective leaders

A new meta-analysis shows that people tend to view women as capable leaders. "We looked at all sorts of fields: education, business, mid-level management, executives, and across all these settings there was either no significant difference or women were viewed as more effective," said Samantha Paustian-Underdahl, one of the study's authors. However, the researchers found that male leaders tended to rate their own skills more favorably than female leaders did.
