Scientist: Robotic telescope mission is good fit for lunar, Mars mission

NASA chief Sean O'Keefe is seriously considering a robotic mission to service the Hubble Space Telescope, according to NASA's chief scientist, John Grunsfeld. One of the key factors in getting O'Keefe behind the plan, Grunsfeld said, was showing how a robotic servicing mission fit into President Bush's call for robots that would help set up a lunar base for manned missions to Mars.
