Gov. Jeb Bush loses class-size reform effort

Yesterday, Florida's Republican-dominated Senate delivered Gov. Jeb Bush a stinging rebuke by killing his proposal to put a class-size measure back on the ballot. A 2002 voter-approved amendment sets class-size limits in all public school classes in the state by 2010 to no more than 18 students in grades K-3, 22 students in grades 4 through middle school and 25 in high school.
