Column: California to spend $1 billion rebuilding I-80

Beginning this year with a section between Truckee and Soda Springs, California will spend more than $1 billion rebuilding Interstate 80, one of the state's more dilapidated and dangerous roadways. The 15 projects that compose the restoration may represent the biggest piece of California's effort to restore and rebuild the some of the state's oldest roads and bridges, this column says.
