Many European businesses strive to lure Americans

In an effort to combat a weakening dollar and faltering economy, Tourism Ireland, VisitBritain, Harry's Bar in Venice and other European businesses are working to attract Americans through offers and advertising campaigns. Ruth Moran of Tourism Ireland said they decided be up front about the costs of visiting Ireland to ease potential visitors' apprehension. Others, however, say this is not a battle they intend to fight.
