Pakistan's polio efforts face challenges

The confirmation of five polio cases in Pakistan's Sindh province thus far in 2008 has Pakistani and World Health Organization officials concerned the country's anti-polio campaign continues to face serious challenges. While Pakistani officials have run several immunization drives, movement of people into Sindh from other areas of the country and from neighboring Afghanistan may be contributing to the spread.
