Scientists: Tropical insects to vanish first from climate change

U.S. scientists said tropical insects are likely to be among the very first species to disappear because of climate change. Butterfly species and other insects in the tropics already live at the edge of their temperature range and if the climate gets just a couple of degrees warmer on average it will kill many of them off, the scientists reported in the journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.
