California legislators consider sick leave again

Two committees in the California Assembly have approved a new bill that would require all employers to pay workers for sick leave. A similar measure failed last year. John Kabateck, NFIB/California, said the bill could cost the state 370,000 jobs over five years because small-business owners would decide to do extra work themselves and not hire employees.
