Global travel summit to focus on economy

Next week, the World Travel and Tourism Council will hold a summit in Brazil. The theme of the meeting is Real Partnerships -- Energizing Economies because, as WTTC President and CEO Jean-Claude Baumgarten said, tough times require enhanced cooperation between the public and private sectors. "The WTTC has always advocated a partnership between public and private sectors, because the travel and tourism industry is deeply linked with economic growth," Baumgarten said.
