Group: Mercury pollution costs U.S. $3.8M annually from lower IQs

The U.S. economy loses $3.8 million in wages annually because of lowered IQs, the result of pollution from mercury-cell chlorine factories, according to the environmental group Oceana. The group has urged the four U.S. chlorine factories still using mercury-cell technology to use another type of manufacturing process instead.
