Should special, magnet schools get more funding?

If the Dallas school district does not cut funding for 31 public magnet schools -- including one for students who are gifted -- it may lose $105 million in Title I funds. Some district trustees worry that equalizing school funding may hurt the specialized programs, which were originally intended to help desegregate the school system.
