U.K. official urges U.S. to ease airline foreign-ownership rules

U.K. Secretary of State for Transport Geoff Hoon said U.S. lawmakers should reconsider legislation pertaining to antitrust immunity alliances among airlines and investment into U.S. carriers by foreign airlines. "I would hope Congress might think again on these issues," Hoon said. "Having this kind of international integration means we've built air services that respond to the need of consumers."
