World BioBank helps to advance personalized medicine

World BioBank, the first tissue bank in Memphis, Tenn., has now stored 300 samples of blood and solid tissues since starting collection last month. The bank, which is capable of storing 120,000 samples, runs laboratory tests to find out the samples' genetic structure, which can be used to develop personalized medicines and treatments.
