Ethanol group questions results of E15 engine-durability study

A recent study by the Coordinating Research Council on the engine compatibility of E15 and higher ethanol blends is "inconclusive" because it did not perform sufficient durability testing on vehicles, according to an ethanol trade group. The CRC, a nonprofit group funded by the auto and oil industry, also ignored a "pile of data" that prove E15 does not affect durability or drivability or damage engines, the ethanol group Growth Energy said.
