Hospital offers mowing-safety tips after child is injured

The Children's Hospital and Medical Center in Freemont, Neb., has offered safety tips to parents after a lawn mower accident injured a 3-year-old. Some of the tips: Don't let children be passengers on riding mowers or garden tractors; clear the mowing area of any objects such as twigs, stones and toys; and keep children indoors or make sure they are a safe distance away from the area you plan to mow.
