Louisiana agency to enlist specialists for oil slick rescue efforts

Louisiana's Department of Wildlife and Fisheries has arranged to enlist the help of veterinary experts from states such as Alaska, California and Delaware for its wildlife-rescue efforts. The agency said the state's Board of Veterinary Medicine will grant emergency waivers for veterinarians who have treated oiled birds, sea turtles and other animals.
