Road to high-speed rail is a long one, says Texas rail chief

Texas is inching toward high-speed rail, but the journey to developing a network of fast passenger trains will be long, said Bill Glavin, rail director of the state Transportation Department. Texas will first see "a list of potential improvements, public and private, freight and passenger rail," before the state makes cost estimates and other plans, he said.
