Sorghum producers look forward to cellulosic ethanol growth

The U.S. sorghum industry is looking forward to supplying future cellulosic ethanol requirements, according to Tim Lust, CEO of National Sorghum Producers. The NSP successfully secured a higher sorghum crop insurance price election from the Risk Management Agency, from 88% in 2009 to 97.8% in 2010. Another boost to the industry is the crop's qualification as an advanced biofuel feedstock under the Energy Independence and Security Act of 2008.
