Colorado requires insurers to offer child-only policies

The Colorado Division of Insurance issued Thursday an emergency order requiring insurers in the state to offer child health policies similar to those available for adults by Aug. 1, following the passage of a law that covers the mandate. Parents can sign up to buy health plans for their children during an initial enrollment period, Aug. 1 to 31, according to the order.
