Benefits of BNSF's $500M L.A. port project are many and obvious

The projected economic and environmental benefits of BNSF's planned $500 million intermodal facility at the Port of Los Angeles are more than enough reason for authorities to approve the project, writes Jim Newton. He emphasizes the need for more support for the project, which is expected to eliminate as many as 2 million annual truck trips on Interstate 710. "We think it's a very compelling project," said BNSF CEO Matthew Rose.
