Ky. to be the first state testing under common standards

This spring, Kentucky will become the first state to test students in the Common Core State Standards, and officials predict students' performance could dip. The exams, they say, are longer, more rigorous and have a greater focus on students' readiness for college and career. However, officials say they expect students' performance on the exams will improve as students and teachers adjust.
