Brazil accelerates search for onshore shale-gas supplies

Government-run oil company Petroleo Brasileiro is launching an effort to find and develop onshore sources of natural, shale and other nonconventional gas, said CEO Maria das Gracas Silva Foster. Most of Brazil's natural gas comes from offshore fields. The nation's oil and gas regulator says there is enough onshore reserves to increase gas production by 360% during the next 10 years.
