Penn National Gaming has said it will bid for the sole casino license to be issued for Prince George's County, Md. MGM Resorts International also wants to build a resort in the county, which adjoins Washington, D.C., and is just across the Potomac River from Virginia. A statewide referendum in 2012 allows only National Harbor and Penn National's Rosecroft Raceway in Fort Washington as possible casino sites. The companies have until Friday to submit their proposals.
