Channel raises $9.7M in funding round led by Boston Scientific

Channel Medsystems, a San Francisco company developing a single-use, handheld cryoablation device, has secured $9.7 million in its latest round of financing, led by Boston Scientific. Proceeds will go toward the company's Global Endometrial Ablation system, a cryogen-based device designed as an alternative treatment option for patients with heavy menstrual bleeding. InCube Ventures, Aperture Ventures, Scientific Health Development II and STCM Ventures joined Boston Scientific in the funding round.
