Dinneen: RFS has been good for American farmers

Thanks to the Renewable Fuel Standard, ethanol "has become the single most important value-added market for American grain farmers, stimulating investment in agricultural technology and enhancing economic opportunities for rural communities," Bob Dinneen, president and CEO of the Renewable Fuels Association, wrote in comments on an RFS white paper by the House Committee on Energy and Commerce. "Without the RFS to drive future growth in renewable fuels, production and use of renewable fuels would stagnate or regress," denying consumers the economic and environmental benefits of homegrown biofuels, Dinneen wrote.
