Staying fit is a big concern for firefighters

The fitness program for firefighters in Lisbon, Conn., consists of walking on a school track, and department officials say it is not enough because the volume and complexity of calls requires first responders to be in top shape. Fire departments across the country are struggling with the issue and some have responded by hiring outside contractors to provide workout space and training or by creating a workout room inside the firehouse.
