Testosterone replacement therapy fared better than placebo in boosting insulin sensitivity in men with type 2 diabetes and hypogonadotropic hypogonadism, a study presented at the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists annual meeting revealed. Researchers also found those who underwent testosterone treatment showed better lean mass, total fat, C-reactive protein and free fatty acids compared with those in the placebo group.
