30-year-old gallery shuts down Mich. storefront

Clay Gallery, which showcases pottery and sculptures, is closing its brick-and-mortar location in Ann Arbor, Mich., after three decades. The gallery, which is owned by 21 artists, will move online. "We are not disbanding. We are trying a different direction," said artist Debbie Thompson. She said it was not "financially sound" to keep operating the storefront.
