British city closes road, installs water slide

Bristol, a hilly city in the west of England, temporarily closed one of its main roads to traffic recently so locals could install a water slide. The project, inspired by old photos of children playing in the streets, attracted nearly 100,000 applications for a limited number of chances to ride an inflatable raft down the slide.
