A new photographic collection aims to bring visibility to a camp that provides a safe space for children who are gender-nonconforming or who are questioning their identities. Called "You Are You," the project is the work of photographer Lindsay Morris, who spent six years documenting the weekend summer camp, the name of which has been changed to protect the privacy of participants. Morris has launched a Kickstarter campaign to turn the collection into a photography book that will shed light on how the camp encourages LGBT children to express themselves without judgment or expectation. "I hope that it serves to nurture understanding," Morris said.
