Coca-Cola seeks to reward innovative agencies with new pay system

Coca-Cola has updated its agency compensation system in order to offer agencies more incentive to create innovative work. Using a "70-20-10" guideline, standard performance-based payments are allotted to 70% of agency work, guaranteed minimum bonuses are promised to the 20% of work that's deemed "evolved," and there's a 10% bonus for first-time projects. "To be unique in this industry is to be able to charge a premium for what you're offering," said Sarah Armstrong, director of worldwide agency operations at Coca-Cola.
