Report: Female directors severely underrepresented in box-office films

Women directors, writers and producers accounted for just 16% of the top-grossing feature films in the U.S. in 2013, according to the latest findings of the Center for the Study of Women in Television and Film, San Diego State University. When it comes to independent films and documentaries, the percentage of women in behind-the-scene roles increased to 26%.
