New D.C. schools deputy mayor criticized for lack of experience

The new manager of failing D.C. schools, Victor A. Reinoso, 38, turned down the job of deputy mayor for education more than once before accepting the post. Reinoso, a former school board member, also spent three years coordinating efforts of business leaders to help the schools, particularly special education and charter schools, but he has been criticized in his current role as lacking management and education experience.
