Quality of levee repairs questionable, expert says

A critic of the Army Corps of Engineers says recent levee repairs are already showing signs of problems. Robert Bea, a professor of engineering at the University of California, Berkeley, cited erosion furrows on a levee by the Mississippi River Gulf Outlet. Risks remain high, he said, adding that severe storms may cause "tear-on-the-dotted-line levees."
