Advice: When prices must go up, tell customer why

Escalating gasoline prices are a major issue facing small businesses and many have no choice but to pass the price on to their customers. The owner of a small limousine service in Washington, D.C., says he explains to his customers that his price increases are tied to the Department of Energy's weekly gas price report and promises to lower them if gas goes back down.
