GAO: Including wind damage in NFIP could strain FEMA, report warns

The Government Accountability Office has warned that adding wind damage coverage to the National Flood Insurance Program will require the program to be restructured and could strain FEMA, according to media reports. Adding wind damage would require FEMA to determine new building code standards, among other things.
