Online discounts and coupons are so easy for consumers to find that some retailers ask that their discount codes be removed from coupon-sharing Web sites. Many retailers offer coupons to select customers, so sharing coupons loses the "importance for the people it was meant for," Shop.org's Ellen Davis said. "Online retailers like online-sharing Web sites because it helps attract people to their brand. What's difficult though is that many online retailers use codes to connect with online customers."
