Bonds climb as investors embrace emerging-market debt

Bonds issued by developing nations are rising on the world's debt markets, with the spread above U.S. Treasuries narrowing by 210 basis points during the past two months. Increasing optimism about the recovery of China's economy is a big factor, traders said, but the trend has driven down the cost of government borrowing as far away as Argentina and Ukraine.
