Publisher calls Google's model "parasitic"

Forbes.com president and CEO Jim Spanfeller is not sanguine about the effect of Google on journalism. He estimates the search giant earns $60 million per year just to direct users to articles on the Forbes site. Spanfeller suggests the "last click" metric is overrated and believes marketers should have their trademarks protected from competitors when it comes to search results.
