Report: Incentives could spur doctor involvement in P4P programs

Doctors are more willing to participate in pay-for-performance schemes if the rewards are "meaningful and relevant," according to a report from Bridges to Excellence. The study, which involved more than 13,500 clinicians in four cities, focused on two P4P programs aimed at enhancing service while averting medical errors in practices, as well as improving care for diabetics.
