Twitter to ramp up search functions

Twitter's search function will soon go beyond the text of a tweet to include content from links, according to Santosh Jayaram, Twitter's vice president of operations. Jayaram said the new feature would scan pages being linked to in tweets and include that content in search results. Jayaram also said Twitter was about to begin ranking users by their reputation and using that system to determine the order posts appear under the site's topical feeds.
