Verizon Wireless, Nokia site dares to boldly go after Trekkie audience

The Web site Join Starfleet Academy is a new joint marketing effort from Verizon Wireless and Nokia tied to the release of the new "Star Trek" movie. The site, created by Publicis Groupe's Moxie Interactive, uses so-called "augmented-reality" technology, which allows users to create their own interactive version of the film.
