DOT report says fewer roads, bridges are in disrepair

The nation's highways and bridges may not be in such a bad state after all. A new Transportation Department report suggests that interstate roads with "good ride quality" rose to 57% last year from 46% in 2000. The number of bridges categorized as "structurally deficient" also declined.
