Foursquare has embedded Like buttons into the Web pages -- though not yet the mobile pages -- of its venues, a trial run for incorporating more Facebook plug-ins. The location-based networking company sees Facebook as key to growing its user base. "I think any time you can integrate with Facebook in a way that benefits your users -- i.e., they use it -- you have a chance to grow your audience," Foursquare's Alex Rainert said. "We want to see how people use [the buttons] before we go too far down the road of sprinkling them everywhere."
